Summer Day Programs - Two Age Groups
Summer programming operates from July (after July 4th) through the middle of August (7weeks). Specific beginning and ending dates are announced each year. Usually it is the first full week of July through the 3rd week in August.
Up-to-date physical and immunization information is required by the time program starts. Please plan accordingly. No exceptions.
A free summer breakfast and lunch program is provided by the Boston Public Schools.
Summer programs include arts, structured physical activity, outdoor activities, field trips, reading, computer access, gym time, and swimming at the nearby Flaherty Swimming Pool.
The summer program operates in two age groupings similar to the after school programs: Children from Grades K1 through GR1 (approximately ages 4.0 to 6.0 years) and ages 7-12 years (approx. Grades 1-5).
- K1-K2 group : 20 children per day max.
- Age 6-12 group: 39 children per day max.
One or more off-site age-appropriate field trips are customary during some weeks, as well as interaction with the summer activities programs from the City of Boston.
The summer program runs Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at a rate of $205.00 per week. (New rate for Summer 2019). Only whole weeks are available. A deposit of $50 per registered week is required at sign-up to hold the available slot.
Extensions of the summer program (week of July 4th holiday and / or the last week of August prior to the start of school) may be available on a limited first-come basis. Please inquire regarding availability. If a seat is available the fee is the same as a summer week session. Parents must provide a bagged / boxed lunch during those weeks.
