About Us

The Roslindale Community Center is operated by the Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF), a department of the City of Boston.  It is centrally located at the intersection of Cummins Highway and Washington Street in Roslindale (Village) Square, in the southwest section of the City of Boston.

The community center is affiliated with a community-based non-profit corporation known as the Roslindale Community School Council, Inc. which partners with BCYF to establish programming, and acts as the voice of the Roslindale Community in the center's operations.

The Council operates an Early Education and Care (EEC) licensed morning pre-kindergarten called "Tiny Tots" during the school year (Sept-June).  It also operates two EEC after school day care programs (Sept-June) for the grade K1-K2 ages and Middle School ages (6 yrs to 12 yrs).  Rates are affordable and are offered on a first-come basis.  Vouchers are accepted.

In summer, a full day program is offered for both age groups that includes indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, swimming at the nearby Flaherty Swimming Pool, and much more.  Rates are affordable and are offered on a first-come basis.  Vouchers are accepted.

Various activities for children and adults are available across the age spectrum year-round.

A 14-station computer lab is available with access time for the licensed programs, and public access at published times.

The center also has community access space available for civic groups, crime watch groups, and various other community organization.  Please inquire at the center for details and usage agreements.

Limited rental agreements are available for activities such as private business or organizational meetings, private lectures, birthday parties, etc.  Please inquire of the staff regarding availability and rates.

The center is always interested in partnering with programming providers.  If you think you have something to offer, please contact us with your ideas.  All programming partners must pass a Massachusetts CORI & SORI background check.
